Undergraduate Research in Data Science and AI (DA 4901)
The faculty co-ordinator for “Undergraduate Research in Data Science and AI” (DA4901) is Prof. Sivaram Ambikasaran.
A student is expected to talk to the proposed faculty guide for the project and prepare a proposal, and register for the course at the beginning of the semester. At the end of the semester, the student’s progress will be evaluated by a committee comprising the faculty guide and two other faculty (from the IITM system, including other departments, adjunct faculty, professors of practice, etc.) and a letter grade will be awarded. The evaluation is expected to be completed on schedule, or latest by the time of resolution of “I” grades for a given semester.
